At 6 Day Dental, we offer high-tech dentistry at a reasonable cost to the entire family six days a week. We have designed our office to cater to children and parents with a beautiful spacious reception area and an amazing game room for kids.

Dr. John Bond

I’m Dr. John Bond and I was born in 1962 and raised in a small town in north Louisiana. I attended Louisiana Tech University, then Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas, graduating in 1989. That same year I found my way to Coppell where I have been practicing ever since.

My wife Danna and I have been married since 1995 and have two sons, Jackson born in 1996, and Jared born in 1998. They are a handful (two hand-fulls) and seem to enjoy all the things mom and dad do such as football, baseball, golf, fishing, bowling, etc. When I am not in the office I usually can be found at the local YMCA getting my workout in, helping coach one of the boys' sports teams or enjoying other outdoor activities with the family.

When Danna and I had children we found out quickly how hard it was to fit everything in, including doctor’s appointments. It occurred to us that the standard dental practice model did not accommodate family’s busy schedules. And thus, the 6 Day Dental concept was born.

At 6 Day Dental we offer high tech dentistry at reasonable cost to the entire family six days a week with an emphasis on comfort and customer service. We place a special emphasis on making it convenient for entire families to receive care six days a week with minimal referrals to other offices needed. We even designed our office to cater to children and parents, with a spacious beautiful waiting area and an ultra-cool game room for kids to play in while they wait. This concept is unique to dentistry and hopefully one that you and your family will not only appreciate but also enjoy.

Establishing 6 Day Dental as the ultimate family practice is my passion and I appreciate the honor of serving you.

Trevor S. Bonilla, D.D.S., M.S. -- Orthodontist

Dr. Trevor Bonilla was born in Amarillo, Texas. He graduated from Tascosa High School in Amarillo and then attended West Texas A&M University in Canyon, Texas where he maintained a 4.0 G.P.A.

He then attended the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio for his dental school education where he was ranked number one in his class for four years. He graduated summa cum laude in 1998. It was during this time at dental school that he decided to expand his dental knowledge to include orthodontics. He completed his orthodontic specialty training at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in 2000.

Dr. Bonilla received many honors related to his studies. His greatest achievement was receiving the Valedictorian Award. He was also inducted into Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society and received the Award for Excellence in Clinical Dentistry.

Dr. Bonilla is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, the Southwest Society of Orthodontists, and the Charles H. Tweed International Foundation for Orthodontic Research

Dr. Bonilla joined the 6 Day team in 2002 and developed the orthodontic practice. Since joining, we have added several practices, all with the same goal: create beautiful smiles and provide great customer service.

When Dr. Bonilla is not straightening teeth, he really enjoys sports, especially football, basketball, and baseball. He also enjoys working out, running, and snow skiing. He and his wife, Kathleen, met while she was attending dental hygiene school in Amarillo. Being from Dallas, she was very excited when Dr. Bonilla made the decision to join 6 Day Dental & Orthodontics.

Dr. Bonilla’s goal as the lead orthodontist for 6 Day Dental & Orthodontics is to provide the best possible orthodontic care for his patients with the most up-to-date, state of the art technology, while also making it a very enjoyable experience. He is looking forward to serving your orthodontic needs and appreciates the opportunity to treat you and your family.

Joshika B. Kanabar, D.D.S., M.S.

Dr. Joshika B. Kanabar was born and raised in Bryan/College Station, Texas. She attended the University of Texas at Austin, majoring in Biology and minoring in Spanish.

In 1999, Dr. Kanabar moved to Dallas to pursue her dental degree at Baylor College of Dentistry. By graduation, she had maintained a position on the Dean’s Honor List all four years, was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society, and received the ADS Academic Achievement Award. During this time, she became passionate about the field of orthodontics and went on to complete the Baylor College of Dentistry orthodontics residency program and masters degree in 2005.

Dr. Kanabar has been happily married since 1998 to her husband, Beej, who she met in East Africa, where their fathers were both involved in a charitable medical service project. Beej has a law degree from England, an MBA from the University of Texas at Dallas, and is currently a Certified Financial Planner at Bank of America. Together, they continue to travel on medical/charitable missions to Africa and India. In her free time, she enjoys teaching aerobics, weight-lifting, cycling, playing the piano, and spending quality time with family and friends.

Dr. Kanabar was very excited to become part of the 6 Day team, as she had seen and heard about the outstanding quality of care and services that are provided to patients here. Her goal is to build on this tradition of excellence by providing proven and effective orthodontic treatment while keeping a high level of patient care the top priority. She is grateful for the opportunity to build lasting relationships with you and your families through the years to come.

Dr. J. Jay Kim--Periodontist

Hello, I’m Dr. Jay Kim. I was born in 1970 and raised in Richardson, Texas, graduating from Berkner High School. I attended Texas A&M University where I majored in Biomedical Science.

I received my dental education from Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas, graduating in 1996. After dental school, I completed a General Practice Residency at the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Dallas. It was during this time that I decided to further my education to include Periodontics. I really enjoyed giving people the opportunity to improve their oral health, smile, and self-image.

I began my professional career as a Periodontist in Portland, Oregon. I am an avid outdoorsman, so I could not pass up an opportunity to practice in the Pacific Northwest. But my heart was in the Dallas / Fort Worth Metroplex, so after a few years, I decided to return to my hometown. The opportunity to practice Periodontics at 6 Day Dental is exciting. The professionalism, caring and quality dentistry offered by the dentists at 6 Day Dental & Orthodontics complement my skills as a periodontal surgeon and affords me an opportunity to perform the best services for my patients. It is an extraordinary opportunity to be a part of the 6 Day Dental & Orthodontics team.

Yes, we warranty the treatment we perform in our office, if you let us check the work we've done for you twice a year, during the time you come in to have your teeth cleaned. Dentistry is not a perfect science and often times we can detect and correct small problems before they become big ones. We appreciate your assistance in helping us "look after" our work as we want to be sure you are receiving the BEST in dental care.
